Chrismas day for jewish families.

What am I going to do on Christmas day?I will go to the movie of course.What else jewish family would do. This is the best holiday ever,no cooking,no shopping and no cleaning!!!We usualy wake up late,have a good breakfest and then my family and I decide what movie we are going to watch.For the past of  few years we were watching  very funny movie called "Meet the parents",then it was a sequal called"Meet the Focker" and now on this Christmas we are going to watch "Little Fockers".It is incredibly funny and very warm movie.Dustin Hoffman,Barbra Strisend,Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller make this movie enjoyable.I recomend to all jew and not jew to go and watch this movie.

Big Love.

Don't worry,this is not about my big love.I woud like to write about the HBO show which call a "Big Love".It is going to be a third sesson of this show on HBO.It is happen to be a very popular show.This show is about a very sucssesful man who has three wives and a lot of children.Yes, he is a Mormon.His name is Bill.Bill belongs to religious organization called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.This religious doesn't allow its men members to drink alcohol and coffee but it allows to have as many wives as you want.Bill shares his love bettwen of three absolutely different women and they are sharing him on some kind of schedule base.The whale show is about overcaming obstacles such as family's matters,law and love.

The party.

I had a very  good time at the party today.It is emazing how much food everyone brought and everything was delicious.I was surprised that our teachers were serving us and it made me feel very welcome.I dont't think we will going to have the same atmosphere in college.I am sure college professors will be nice but it woun't be the same.I found that in Haiti ,where Carla from,people make the same salad  I always made in my country.I think because this particular salad was found in France.I know that some Russion's cooking has  French roots. I really enjoyed the party.Thank you .

Speech.

I am very pleased and happy that my wonderful class liked my speech about my native food.I agree with Mrs.Soffer's comments that it was not very organized.I think it is just because I wanted to say so much in the very limited time.I love my class and I trully feel I will miss everyone very much.Tomorrow we are going to have a party and I am looking forvard to have fun.Being around young people makes me feel younger.I feel little bad that I can't bring my cooking,I literaly don't have time to do that.

It is really nothing.

I didn't have anything exciting for the past 3 days of my life.I worked all weekend.My refregireitor was very empty, if you can say that,so my children were ordering pizza or chinese food and it is very unusual for my family.Today I woke up earlyer to do my food shopping because I have to be at work at 12 pm.I went to the John's Farm food store.It is located right cross the street from the neighborhood I live.I was glad that Gerson wasn't there yet because I didn't want to scare him with my morning look.By the way when I read my last post,I was so embarressed,because my spelling was horrible.Sorry Mrs.Soffer.

Practicing for a test.

I am so pleased and happy.Today we got back our asseys which we wrote yesterday in class.I liked the topic I  chose.I still had to rewrite my work but I really see improvment in my writing.I am hoping that on the test I will be calm and focus.I went to my doctor today to complete some paper for school.I found that I still had to have one more shot.It was very painfull .I asked  my doctor what kind of reaction I might have and he said :"Well,I think you are not going to die".It is good enough to me.

My boys.

I love my boys dearly.They are very different .They are 10 years apart,but sometimes when I look at thier's behavior I don't see a big gup betwen thier's ages.My oldest son is 26.He is a very handsom man with the head of full of ideas.He graduated at St.John's University and now planning to go for master degree to an other college.We always want him to become a lawer,but one day he came home and with tears on his eyes was begging us to stop pushing him to go to that field.He loves numbers,so he works now as a financial adviser for Northwestern Mutual Insurens company in Manhatten.I really hope he will continue his aducation because he is a very smart boy.My youngest one is 15,will be 16 in january 2011.He is something else.He is very funny and love a lot af attention.First, he was saying that he wants to be a standup comedian,than he was scarying us with a jewish cowboy's idea,now Thank God he wants to be a social studys teacher(I don't now for how long).What I do know for 100 precent they have a good hearts.

The long weekend.

It is over.If you think I had a very restfull weekend you are wrong.I worked all those days.I am not complaining.I know how to be without a job.Even though this job where I am right now is temprory,I am happy to have it.My new boss likes my work because I am good with people and I really know what they need.Today at work I met a woman who is going to Stony Brook college.She is much older than me and she is also lost her job 2 years ago.She takes  nurssing classes.It tells me that I am on the right roud.

Thanksgiving dinner.

We had a great time at the Thanksgivinig dinner.I had 15 people at my house.Everyone brought something good to eat,so it helped me not to stay entire day of cooking.We had so much food, so after dinner I was giving out leftovers to everyone.It was interesting that I had people who speaks only English and the same time I had ralatives who doesn't speak English at all.But we had nicest atmosphear ever.Everyone were loughing and enjoing every moment being together.I love holidays even though it is a lot of preperation involved.

IHOP

Today after school I went with my friends to IHOP.I love to eat there.Their coffee is hot and fresh and omletts are incredible.We had a good chat about future holidays,about now much we all missed our job.Some of my friends are still unemployed so they can't spend much money for all comming holidays. Anyway ,we are planning to get together and have a couple of drinks.

November is a birthday's month

There are so many birthdays in this month. I had to to take care of my lovely future daughter-in-law  who turned 24,my nephew who turned 6 ,my mom who turned 69.Everyone loves their presents.We had a little celebration almost every week.We like to eat,drink and talk very loudly.I am prepering myself for Thansgiving dinner.I am trying relax a little bit before a big cooking for the holiday.

The movie.

I enjoyed the ''Freedom Writers" movie so much.I can't believe myself,I am a movie person and I didn't see that movie before.I feel that I will rent this movie and going to watch one more time.I am  also glad that my friends from class get so touched by the Holocaust story,because only jewish people know how much suffer and pain they have  had in their lives.And maybe their religion is not for everybody to understand,but they will never ever send their airforses to bomb countries where jews were killed or birned during World War2 .It is not many of us left,and we want so little.We want to live in peace,raised our families and be healthy.

Brooklyn

Today I went to Brooklyn to say my last goodbye to my friend.It was a beautiful day.Even though I was very sad ,I meet my old friends and we had a good talk.Brooklyn has a big Russian community and they  live a completely different lives than we are in Long Island.I used to live in Brooklyn until 1999.But I am glad that I had the chance to move out from this Russian neighborhood.The only one thing I miss is the Russian food stores.Sometimes when I drive my mom to the Russian doctor,we stop at the our store and buy all kind of delicatessen.

I lost my dear friend.

Yesterday I recived a phone call from a dougther of my old friend.I couldn't belive what I have just heard.My friend and my former bussines patner was dying from a breast cancer.She was at home and she has only a couple of hours to leave.I was shocked.We didn;t see each other often but I always knew what was going on in her life.She told me that she has some health problems but she never ever mention she has a cancer.It was 8:00 pm at nigth and I ran to Brooklyn.I had a chance to see her before she's gone.I was talking to her,holding her hand but she was not responding.At 2:00am in the morning we lost her.She was only 59.

My beef stew.

The last two days were pretty busy for me.Yesterday I had to cook dinner,and I always try to make food for at least 2-3 days.So when I am in my kitchen everything has to move around.My stove busy with 2 pots,at least with 1 skilet and something else.I decided to make a delicious beef stew.I  had a nice piece of sirlion(good part of beef),red wine and vegetables.I always use a lot of onion,garlic and diferent spises,so when it is in cooking process,my house and me smells delicious.I am not kidding.My stew was done about 2 hours latter ,so and my homework.

Trip to Philadelfia.

It was a very long day for me today because I had to go to Philadelfia for not a happy reason.We had to go to the cemetory and gave our respect and love to the most wonderfull person in our family my husband's first cousan,who died last december at the age of 45 from the  heart attack.Today  it was the first day when the beautiful monument was instold.He left his young wife and three children with only warm and greatful feelings.In the very early morning we were having a several traffic challenges while driving to Philadelfia because of the NY City Marathon.So I feel very tired and i will go to bed earlyer than usual.

The rainy day.

The weather is  telling us -Winter is coming.Brrr..I don't like Winter,but I'll take all of the good things from this season.Today I decided not to cook dinner,and I went cross the street from my house to buy a Chinese food.The young lady,she owns this plays,was excited to see me because the restourant was not busy today as usuale.She took my order, and start telling me how happy she is with her little son.Her son came to America not to long ago,and he is doing so good in his first year of school.It is amazing how little children could adapt to completely new changes in their lives so fast.

Nothing special.

I can't believe it is already 10 pm .Day was flying so fast.Today was another ordinary day in my life.The most exiting time I have when I am at school.I don't feel myself seperate from my young classmates because of my age or life experiense.I love them all.Mrs.Soffer looked today little pale,maybe because of  the virus she had yesterday.All right then ,I have to finish writing now,because I want to have a little time to watch TV.

The Holloween Day.

Hi everybody.I had a busy day today.I was not busy giving out candy or trick-or-treating not at all ,I was cooking,cleaning,doing food shopping.So now ,finaly I have time to do my homework and talk to you guys.When I'll finish that, I'll get myself a glass of wine and I'll watch my favorite HBO show " Browdwalk Empire".O I completely forgot,I have take for a walk my best pooch in the world Charlie.How many sentences I already wrote?I think that is enouph for now.

Welcome to my blog

I welcome everyone to my blog.I actually have to rewrite everything again.It's very unusual for me to share with everybody my thouths.I hope we all going to have fun.Please don't judged me hard for my writting.I promise to be a good girl.
